Salt Mine Thrift-Store and Pantry is a Lifeline for Local Community
Many communities have organizations that provide for the less fortunate. Unfortunately, there is always a number of people who are experiencing hard times, food shortages, lack of unemployment, and other difficult situations. Often, the smaller communities like Lincoln either have little resources or are charitable deserts – with very little help for folks who need a hand up when their chips are down.
Thankfully, our small little town of Lincoln has a lifeline for those who find themselves in need. The Salt Mine. A church, thrift store, and food pantry – that provides nourishment to anyone who shows up. And this isn’t a fly-by-night organization, as the family behind the Salt Mine has roots in Lincoln that go back decades.
Now for how you can make a difference. Anything that has been lightly used and has resale value can be donated/gifted to the Salt Mine Thrift Store – where they essentially convert your used goods into food for the local pantry.
